I needed some instant gratification!

After the PITA sundress, I needed something quick. I made the following tunic in less than two hours. Ignore the silly little grey skirt I am wearing. Ultimately, I will wear this with some skinny black jeans or maybe close fitting black capris.

The details:

Butterick 4986 view D, omitted the collar band
Fabric from Gorgeous Things: Poly/cotton Jersey available here
Inspiration from Lori's (Girls in the Garden) version (Yes, I completely ripped off her idea but she looked so adorable in her version that I couldn't help myself! I had to have one.)

Love your tunic, too. Isn't this a great, fun, quick pattern.

Your tunic is so sharp! With skinny jeans, yowza! Those teens are going to "borrow" it, I think. And your kiwi dress is fab also. Is it your garden I am seeing in the background? That is fab also. I'm just starting to work on my blog, I sew I garden, so once I get it, I'll have something to show, for all I've been lurking.

Oooo I love it! I think it would look cute with a little black skirt too.

That top is stunning. I bought some sheer fabric to make that top. I might not be able to use it if requires a knit fabric. BTW, I think you photographed this top at the best angle. I have seen other versions of this and didn't like the way it looked straight on at a high angle. But the way you photographed it shows it off the best and give me a better idea of how it will fit. Now I won't be so reluctant to make one.
