Today is Canada Day. Happy Birthday, Canada!
In honor of the holiday (and encouraged by an unnamed enabler), I think it is the perfect occasion to finally purchase some of those adorable patterns from the Canadian company Jalie! But since I am known for overbuying because I can't make up my mind, I am seeking other sewers' input. My three top choices are 2794 (that neckline is flattering on everyone!), 2788 (how cute is that cascading ruffle down the front?!) and 2804 (love the ruching on the sides). But there are many others that I like, too! So help me out, sewing buddies... Have I overlooked any other patterns that I MUST HAVE! If I was only going to buy two.... ok, let's be realistic... no more than four, which ones should I buy?!
OH, I assume the best place to purchase is from the Jalie company directly?
I've been buying my Jalie's from patternreview.com. If you're a member, the price is $11.69, and if you spend $25 the shipping is free. ($12.99 and spend $35 for non-members).
ReplyDeleteYou'd have to do the math to find out if that's cheaper than Jalie's $12.97 + at least $7something for shipping. (BUT they have buy 3 get one free).
I just started on a 2682, it appears to be super easy!
I jut bought my first Jalie yesterday off of PR. But, they were panties. So I'm not really of any help to you here.

ReplyDeleteI got mines from PR also,, of course 2794 but also 2806,, I think,, the tulip short sleeve one. I think Pr is the way to go
I like them all. Haven't sewn Jalie yet so I'm curious to know what you think.

ReplyDeleteBuy 3 get 4 at Jalie right now, I ordered them on Sunday evening and they arrived in the mail on Wednesday at noon! Superior service if you ask me.
ReplyDeleteAnd ALL Jaile's are super. Easy to follow instructions, the sizing is easy to adjust because of the multi sized patterns.
