The Real Coat
I'm just about finished my "muslin" version of Vogue 8346 so I went ahead and order the pink coating to make my real version. I decided on a knee length version. I wanted to do a fun lining so I'm considering the brown & pink polka dot shown above.
Oh, Bonnie, that is a gorgeous fabric combination. I love it. Beautiful shade of pink -- pink but not too girly, bubble gum pink and the lining is just the right touch of fun with a beautiful color combination.
Love the brown polka dots with pink. It gives it a wonderful spark. I have to agree with the others on the shoulder pads. Outer wear is so much heavier, it needs the pads to maintain the shape of the garment.
I love those polka-dots for lining. I'm too chicken to make a coat. Which collar version are you going to do? I really like the shawl collar.
ReplyDeleteAs for the shoulder pads, I agree with Sharon, in an outerwear coat I would most likely add a small one. g
Pink and brown is the perfect color combo. ;)
ReplyDeleteWow that's gorgeous. Can't wait to see the finished jacket. I'm a big fan of shoulder pads.
ReplyDeleteGo for the poka dots they are darn cute.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like it will be fun to make.
ReplyDeleteooh, I think the polka dotted lining will be adorable!
